The Madison Muskies topped the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 7-2, in Midwest League action at Parkview Field. The standout performance belonged to Madison pitcher and Jackson, Georgia, native Johnny Schaefer. The winning pitcher was Schaefer, now 2-2. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. The TinCaps have now dropped 8 straight.

Madison won the game in part because of Nolan Lakes. The left fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Muskies ahead, 4-0. For the game, Lakes had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
