Mainero 3-for-4, Leads LumberKings to Win

Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Ashford University Field.
The exploits of center fielder Taylor Mainero helped the Clinton LumberKings defeat the Flint Wolverines, 7-1. Mainero went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The second-place LumberKings go to 32-23.
In the top of the fifth, the LumberKings found themselves in a jam. Flint had the bases loaded with two out. The score was 5-1, Clinton. Yoannis Gómez was at the plate, hoping to deal the LumberKings a serious blow. Instead, he struck out to end the threat.
