Woolly Mammoths Lose, 6-1, at Dow Diamond
|
Lance Kemp was superb against Westside. The right-hander, who is tied for 9th in the MID with a 2.09 ERA, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Loons victory. The score was 6-1. Kemp picked up the win for Great Lakes, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. The setback makes Westside 33-23.
The tension was thick in the top of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded and Westside trailing 6-1, Lance Kemp had to get a big out. On a full count fastball, he retired Maureo Baeza, who struck out.
