Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Wolverines beat the Sod Poodles.

The Flint Wolverines dealt the Ames Sod Poodles a loss at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. The final score was 7-3. Aiden Skinner was especially productive for Flint. In addition to his 1 single and 1 triple, he scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Wolverines now have a mark of 30-20.

Skinner contributed a big hit, a 2-run triple, for Flint in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Skinner took a fastball from Conrad De La Cruz and stroked the triple to left-center. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Wolverines to leap in front, 4-3.

"This team is on a mission," said Skinner, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
