Westside Hot Streak Continues with 5-3 Win
The rain came, as predicted, but the Westside Woolly Mammoths and Great Lakes Loons were able to complete their ballgame.

The Westside Woolly Mammoths topped the Great Lakes Loons, 5-3, in Midwest League action at Municipal Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Westside pitcher Mark Straatmann. Westside reliever Renny Loflin was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Trevor Gracia. Vic Berg nailed down his 6th save.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin-born Noah Green came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Woolly Mammoths trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Westside on top.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Straatmann after the game.

Westside's record now stands at 26-19, placing them 4th in the Midwest League Eastern Division.
