The Clinton LumberKings dealt the Lake County Captains a 6-1 loss at Ashford University Field. Jonathan Lucas, who is tied for 4th in the MID in triples with 2, was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with 2 triples and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The LumberKings raised their record to 26-12.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Lucas hit a 2-run triple off Wilson Lee. It propelled the LumberKings into the lead, 2-0.
