The Beloit Snappers got a good effort from starter Juan Roblero in defeating the Clinton LumberKings at Harry C. Pohlman Field. The final score was 3-2. Diego Olivo recorded his 5th save for Beloit. The Snappers, now 7-14, have not found much traction so far in 2063.
Beloit took a 2-1 lead on P.J. Gagliardi's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Gagliardi hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Clinton pitcher Miles Burns visibly frustrated.
"Juan gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Beloit manager Lawrence Crocker.
