Wolverines Stay Hot, Beat Cubs, 6-2

Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium was the site for Midwest League action featuring the South Bend Cubs and Flint Wolverines.
South Bend got a terrific game from right fielder Samuel Horsley. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Flint, 6-2. Horsley was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Gregorio Muñoz picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-1. He struck out 4 in 6 innings.
Flint relied on the hitting of Lorenzo Paulino to pick up the win. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Wolverines on top, 4-0. For the game, Paulino had 1 triple and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
Paulino attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
So far, the 2059 season has been disappointing for South Bend, now 7-10.
