The Dayton Dragons were defeated, 4-0, by the Peoria Chiefs at Dozer Park, even though Owen Sylvia pitched well for Dayton. Victor Aguirre notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-1. Moisés Belderas closed it out for his 1st save.

Peoria went up, 2-0, on Darius Barnes's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Barnes hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Dayton pitcher Owen Sylvia shaking his head.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Peoria manager Gil Mitchell. "Our pregame was pretty good."

The win takes Peoria to 7-11.
