Lugnuts Suffer 6-1 Setback
|
The Great Lakes Loons topped the Lansing Lugnuts, 6-1, in Midwest League action at Dow Diamond. The game was highlighted by the performance of Great Lakes pitcher Jim Vercillo. Micah Abernathy closed the game out for Great Lakes, earning his 1st save. The win puts Great Lakes at 10-10.
The Loons picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"Jim had electric stuff," said Great Lakes manager Barry Tripp.
