Whitecaps Rally to Win
Roberto Santos played a key role in a gritty 2-1 West Michigan Whitecaps win against the South Bend Cubs. Dillon Lane picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kerry Holtzman suffered the loss. Noah Stoker recorded the save, his 2nd.

Pablo Walker chipped in for West Michigan, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning. For the game, the right fielder was 1-3 with a walk.

"Roberto had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said West Michigan manager Dylan Roberts.

West Michigan is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 19 games.
