Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Great Lakes Loons and Quad Cities River Bandits.
The Great Lakes Loons dealt the Quad Cities River Bandits a 4-0 loss at Modern Woodmen Park. Jake Rogers was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Aron Kuchan was the winner. He's now 3-0. The loser was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Leo Morales. Wayne Jones picked up his 1st save of the season.
In the top of the fourth of a scoreless game, Rogers hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Rogers.
With the loss, Quad Cities sinks to 10-8.
