Clinton starter Salif Miller kept the Ames hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 10-0. Miller, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. The LumberKings, now 13-7, have been playing some good baseball.

Clinton used a clutch at-bat from Diego Gonzáles to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the LumberKings ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
