Dragons Wiggle Past Cedar Rapids, 4-3
|
The bat of Gray Merten helped the Dayton Dragons top the Cedar Rapids Haymakers, 4-3. Merten went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk for Dayton. Picking up his 4th save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Meredith Falcone. The loss drops the Haymakers to 7-5.
Ryder Crouch had a direct impact on the outcome. Crouch contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Dayton up, 4-3.
Crouch called the win "a pick-me-upper."
