River Bandits Trip Snappers, 2-1
|
The Beloit Snappers got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Roblero. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Quad Cities. The River Bandits won the game, 2-1. Roblero threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The save went to Owen Dutter, his 1st this season. With their winning streak at 4, the River Bandits have raced to a strong start this season.
The River Bandits got a big at-bat from first baseman Oscar Elvita. For the game, Elvita was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Quad Cities a 2-1 lead.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Beloit manager Lawrence Crocker. "The effort was great."
