Led by 21-year-old Axl Cork, the Lansing Lugnuts knocked off the Westside Woolly Mammoths, 10-4. Cork was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Lugnuts. Lansing sits at 2-1 in the early going.

Vick Verde had a big 2-run home run for the Lugnuts in the bottom of the sixth inning.
