Muskies Reel-In 4-2 Win Over River Bandits
|
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Quad Cities River Bandits home opener. Alan Louderback started for the home team against Lee Barnes for the Madison Muskies. The River Bandits were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 4-2, Madison. Lee Barnes, though, was impressive. Fabian Crowe was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Madison won the game in part because of Fredric McConnell. The shortstop ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Muskies ahead, 4-2. For the game, McConnell had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"I try to not think too much," said McConnell.
