The Memphis Blues rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Jason Ordaz to a win, beating the Virginia Black Bears, 7-1, at Blues Stadium. The loss puts Virginia at 3-4.

Davis Ocampo came through for Memphis with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 RBI.
