Cubs Snatch Late-Game, 6-5 Win
Chad Morton did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Miami Marlins from being beaten, 6-5, to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Morton was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Alex Stanley snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2.1 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. With their winning streak at 4, the Cubs have raced to a strong start this season.

Perry LaMaster went 1 for 3 for Chicago. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Walt Kozlowski. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.

"I just tried to make good contact," said LaMaster.
