The Fresno Falcons picked up a win at Savemart Center, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 1-0. On the mound for Fresno was left-hander Norman Ewing. He played a key role in the triumph. Texas is now 1-3.

The Falcons got a clutch hit from second baseman Jude Meadows. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Falcons.

"I thought Norman threw the ball well across the board," said Fresno manager Pedro Alvarado.
