Rangers Hope Opening Day Win Bodes Well for Season
Crowds lined up early in front of Globe Life Park in Arlington, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2060 Skyline Baseball League season. On the mound was Jacoby Young for the visiting New York Yankees and E.J. Pulley for the hometown Texas Rangers. In a spirited contest, the Rangers pulled out the win, defeating the Yankees by the score of 4-3. Especially impressive was Declan Leider.

Curt McDonnell hit a 2-run home run off Jacoby Young in the bottom of the third, which put the Rangers ahead, 3-1. In addition to the homer, McDonnell had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"We think we're a good team overall, so we're not too surprised to win today," said McDonnell.
