Ranchers Drop Salamanders, 3-2

The Chandler Ranchers eked out a 3-2 win versus the Scottsdale Salamanders at Hohokam Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Filiberto Alcantara. He was terrific. B.J. Hart got the save, the 6th for him this season. With the victory, the Ranchers upped their record to 11-6.
Chandler used the timely hitting of Mark Orren to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ranchers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said Scottsdale manager Jose Maldonado. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
