Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Glendale Gauchos got the win.

Glendale Gauchos starter Leo Leija found his groove in his team's 4-2 win over the Yuma Gnomes. Neal Fulton collected his 2nd save.

Rudy Kueffer was 1-4 for Glendale. The 18-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Patricio Terrero. It was his 21st hit of the season.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Yuma skipper Ryan Guardado, "and it cost us."

The Gauchos, at 13-17, sit in 6th place in the Arizona Rookie League North Division.
