The Peoria Pride banked on Josh Dowd and he turned in a masterful performance. The left-hander kept the Buckeye hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Pride. With the win, the Pride improved to 17-7.
Brayden Chubb was the walk-off hero for Peoria. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pride designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"That's baseball," said Buckeye manager Justin Ellis. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
