Waits Lifts Gauchos to 19-4 Win
The losses keep piling up for the Tempe Impalas.

The Glendale Gauchos beat the Tempe Impalas, 19-4, at Peoria Sports Complex. The win was due in part to right fielder Gael Waits, who slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Now 2-24, Tempe has lost 24 in a row.

With Glendale leading 5-4 in the top of the seventh, Waits came up to bat against Tempe pitcher Little Joe Ott. Waits hit a fastball to right for a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Gauchos on top, 8-4.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Glendale manager Abel Berishvili.
