Geckos Rack Up 5-1 Win Versus Bullhead City
|
The Gilbert Geckos dealt the Bullhead City Catfish a 5-1 loss at Scottsdale Stadium. Liusmel Rosalio, who is tied for 5th in the AZL in triples with 1, was the star on offense. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. With the win, Gilbert pushed its record to 16-9.
Gilbert used a clutch at-bat from Dallas Carlson to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Geckos ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Geckos manager Jason Blahut.
