The Hartford Yard Goats knocked off the Altoona Curve, 5-3, in Eastern League action at People's Natural Gas Field. Hartford pitcher and Middelburg, The Netherlands, native Kay den Hartigh had an outstanding performance. Earning his 5th save of the year was Braxton Vaughn. Hartford goes to 10-15.

It could have been a different outcome for Hartford, had it not been for Kade Heller, the former first round draft pick . Heller contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Hartford up, 2-0.

"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Matt Hartford, the Altoona manager.
