Jonathan Hill made an impact in the 5-3 Somerset win over Akron. Hill, who is tied for 4th in the EL in triples with 2, went 2-4 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Dawson Ring earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 4-0. At 17-10, the Patriots have played well so far.

It could have been a different outcome for Somerset, had it not been for Skyler Bennett, the 27-year old catcher . Bennett contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put Somerset up, 1-0.

"I thought we competed really well," said Patriots manager Alex Chavez. "I thought the energy was really good."
