Bullhead City Beats Buckeye in 12-Inning Thriller
Buckeye right fielder Dave Jones pounded Bullhead City Catfish pitchers at Scottsdale Stadium, but it was not enough to keep the Quahogs from falling, 8-7. Jones went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Linwood Majcher notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Now 1-15, Buckeye has dropped 11 straight.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Bullhead City pinch hitter Mark Brunswick, facing Santiago Lizarraga, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Catfish the 8-7 win.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Brunswick said.
