Swordfish Handed 4-2 Loss by Mesa
|
The Mesa Saguaros bumped off the Florence Swordfish, 4-2, at Goodyear Ballpark. Ken Peavey hit 2 singles and 1 double. He also had 2 RBI. Emmanuel Abreu picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Sebastian Díaz suffered the loss. Eli Brown notched his 5th save of the season.
Peavey contributed in the top of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Mesa get the win.
After the game, Mesa manager Jesse Dusseau applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
Florence is 7-4 after the defeat.
