Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old center fielder Ezequiel Mireles, the New Haven Ravens stopped the Lancaster Barnstormers, 6-1. Kenny Mills, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 3.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The Barnstormers, now 9-18 this season, have struggled to play .500 ball.

Mireles had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth to put New Haven in front, 4-1. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single off Lancaster pitcher Julian Freeman.
