Pilots Deal Ravens 7-2 Defeat

Wichita and New Haven took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Wichita turned a good effort from starter Miguel Hermillo into a win over the New Haven Ravens at The Ballpark at Jackson. The Pilots won the game, 7-2. Hermillo, now 5-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.
The Pilots got a big at-bat from designated hitter Warren Morgan. For the game, Morgan was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Wichita a 2-0 lead.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Morgan told the Wichita Daily News. "But we take nothing for granted."
The loss makes New Haven 16-10.
