Scottsdale got a decent performance from pitcher Lawrence Stuckey, but it wasn't enough to beat the Buckeye Quahogs. Buckeye won the Surprise Stadium contest, 4-3. Stuckey threw 7.1 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. The Salamanders fall to 5-7 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Nando Nuñez was the walk-off hero for Buckeye. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Quahogs first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place was electric at the end," Nuñez said.
