The inspired effort of Peoria pinch hitter Archie Paz was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-5, to the Glendale Gauchos. Paz went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. T.J. Martines, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 5 runs on 10 hits in 9 innings. With the win, Glendale climbs to 2-2.

Darion Collier helped out the Glendale cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4 with a walk.
