The Lincoln Bighorns spoiled a good performance by Halifax right fielder Cedric Bishop, bumping off Halifax, 10-6, at MGM Park. Bishop went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Atworth Garrett was credited with the save for Lincoln, his 1st of the season. The defending champion Bighorns have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 11-12 with the win.

Elías Gurrola had a big 2-run double for the Bighorns in the top of the fifth inning. With Lincoln leading 4-3 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Kody Williams and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bighorns ahead, 6-3.

"Just trying to help my team," said Gurrola. "That's all I want."
