With 7-3 Win, Sea Dogs Improve to 12-10
Behind a fine performance from Martino Durand, the Portland Sea Dogs knocked off the Lincoln Bighorns, 7-3. Durand was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Sea Dogs. Assael Cordero earned the win, while 25-year old left-handed pitcher Travis Vaida took the loss for Lincoln. Ben Dunn earned the save for Portland, his 2nd.

Brandon Yeager, who leads the EL in runs scored with 18, aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Yeager told the Portland Times.

Lincoln falls to 10-12.
