Binghamton left fielder Torquato Velasquez picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Quebec Metros, 8-7. The winner was Darriel Heard in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Vicente Villaverde took the loss. The Metros drop to 7-16, as their stumbling start to the 2061 season continues.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Ricky Jager came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Quebec pitcher Vicente Villaverde, he hit a first pitch cutter for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Binghamton on top, 8-6.

"Torquato raked," said Binghamton manager Zane Tharp.
