Metros Win at Binghamton, 8-4
|
The umbrellas came out during the Quebec-Binghamton contest at NYSEG Stadium.
Quebec shortstop Ian Gaylord had a 3-RBI game, leading his team in its 8-4 defeat of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Gaylord picked up 1 single and 1 double in the ballgame. The Metros, with just their 7th win so far in 2061, have yet to catch fire.
With Quebec leading 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Gaylord hit a changeup from Darriel Heard for a 2-run double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Metros ahead, 5-1.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Gaylord told the Quebec Today.
