Patriots Scratch Out 2-1 Win
|
Somerset took on Lincoln in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Yoanis Duran, in particular, was fantastic. The Somerset right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-1. Duran got the win, improving to 1-2. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. Picking up his 5th save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Parker Corrado.
Ray Buchholtz put Somerset in front, 2-0, when he hit a solo home run off Doug Boley in the top of the sixth. It was his 1st home run of the season.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Duran after the game.
With the loss, Lincoln drops to 10-9.
