The Yonkers Dark Knights topped the Somerset Patriots, 6-3, in Eastern League action at Gunslingers Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Yonkers pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico, native Bryce Montano. Montano got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Montano allowed no runs. Leeroy Watson got the save, the 4th for him this season.

The Dark Knights got an important contribution from second baseman Randy DeWitt, who in the bottom of the third punched a first pitch fastball into center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Dark Knights ahead, 2-0.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said DeWitt.

With the loss, Somerset is 6-12.
