Barnstormers Tack 8-3 Loss on Halifax

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Lancaster Barnstormers downed the Halifax Frigates, 8-3, the largest share of the credit belonging to shortstop B.J. Richards. On the day, Richards went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Barnstormers. Mauricio Vega, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-0. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3.
With Lancaster leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Richards hit a changeup from Shelton Morisett for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Barnstormers ahead, 4-0.
"I think it just wasn't our night," said Halifax skipper Ruben Figueredo.
