Powered by Kenny Miller, the Altoona Curve downed the Gateway Grizzlies, 7-1. Miller went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Curve. Alex Abreu earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The Grizzlies drop to 8-9 and continue their mediocre start to the 2061 season.

With Altoona trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Miller hit a fastball from Boyd McKinnon for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Curve ahead, 4-1.

"I think it just wasn't our night," said Gateway skipper Elijah Holmes.
