Engineers first baseman Christobal Aragon left his mark on his team's 8-7 win over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. Aragon, who is tied for 6th in the SL in home runs with 16, was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Shreveport in the contest. Shreveport now has a record of 49-45 with the win.
Shreveport won the game in part because of Sterling Tull. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Engineers ahead, 8-1. For the game, Tull had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
