6 Straight Wins for Aces
The Alexandria Aces outlasted the Mississippi Braves, 8-5, in 12 innings. Dirk Lila led the way, going 4-for-6 for Alexandria. Alexandria reliever John Johnson picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Mark Bowman was saddled with the loss. Alexandria now has a record of 46-44 with the win.

Alexandria took advantage of an error in the top of the 12th inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when Kameron Nicol hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Aces in front, 6-5.

"We're playing good baseball. We're playing aggressive baseball," said Lila.
