Engineers Prevail, 3-1, Over Midland
In a tight tilt between the Shreveport Engineers and the Midland RockHounds, Simon Santiago was the deciding factor. The Shreveport right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Ricardino Solomon was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. Their 44-46 record puts the Engineers 5th in the Southern League Texas Division.

In the top of the ninth, Joshua Odea stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The RockHounds were trailing 3-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Ricardino Solomon made a terrific pitch and Odea grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Midland comeback.
