The Frisco RoughRiders and Corpus Christi Hooks were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Corpus Christi Hooks bested the Frisco RoughRiders, 4-0, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Ian Miller was one of the standouts. He was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Stephen Armenta earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. He upped his record to 5-2.

In the top of the eighth, Miller put his team in front with his 14th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Royce Huerta, made it 3-0, Corpus Christi.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Corpus Christi skipper Ramon Guerrero. "It's important to have different ways to do it."

The 5th-place Hooks improved to 48-44.
