Aces Beat Drillers, 6-2
|
The Alexandria Aces got a marvelous performance from pitcher Jace Vincent. The right-hander kept the Tulsa offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-2 Alexandria victory at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Vincent picked up the win for Alexandria, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-7. The 7th-place Aces now have a record of 32-55.
The fans who came to support the Aces were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Vincent told a Alexandria Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
