Travelers Lasso 8-1 Victory
|
The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp had their hands full with Arkansas Travelers starter Elton Crouse, who frustrated Jacksonville hitters while leading Arkansas to a comfortable, 8-1 win. Crouse yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 7-1. The win puts the Travelers at 56-29, while the Jumbo Shrimp drop to 49-36.
Early in the game, left fielder Thornton Langston had a 2-run double for Arkansas. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Travelers on top, 3-1.
"It's fun when you can help the team win games," said Langston.
