Mississippi Absorbs 6-5 Loss to Rocket City
|
The Rocket City Trash Pandas and Mississippi Braves obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
Behind a fine performance from Joseph Thompson, the Rocket City Trash Pandas knocked off the Mississippi Braves, 6-5. Thompson went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Trash Pandas. Don Sutch was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Horace Castro.
Early in the game, Thompson had a grand slam home run for Rocket City. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Trash Pandas on top, 4-0.
After the game, Rocket City manager Alex Salcedo applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
Rocket City has a record of 38-49, placing them 8th in the Southern League Southeast Division.
