Late Rally by Engineers Secures 5-3 Win
The Shreveport Engineers picked up a win at Engineers Ballpark, dropping the Tulsa Drillers, 5-3. Talman Cassidy was the difference-maker. Ricardino Solomon closed the game out for Shreveport, earning his 2nd save. The win boosted Shreveport to 41-41.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder John Evans came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Tulsa pitcher E.J. Sackrider, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Shreveport on top, 3-2.

"Whenever I help the team," said Evans, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
