No one was more impactful than Odon Parada in the 5-3 Corpus Christi win over Alexandria. Parada, who is tied for 6th in the SL in RBI with 50, was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jesse Johnson was the winner. He's now 4-1. The loser was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Maxwell Schwab. Corpus Christi is now 42-36, Alexandria 37-41.

There was more than one reason the Hooks beat the Aces, but Parada's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Parada told the Corpus Christi Bulletin.
